PointView

PointView is a technically advanced module for visualizing point clouds from state-of-the-art 3D laser scanning (LiDAR). The result is a three-dimensional display of the scanned objects and, thanks to integration with mapsfy.com, PointView can display these objects with millimeter accuracy directly in the map portal environment.
  • 3D point cloud visualisation

Unlike conventional 2D maps or orthophotos, PointView allows you to visualize elevation and shape details. The user can move freely in the visualized space, change views, zoom in on details and analyze the actual condition of terrain, buildings, bridges or other objects. The point cloud allows a very accurate and realistic documentation of the territory.
  • Interactive experience in the map portal

Your clients, partners or colleagues can not only see the project, but also move freely around it, rotate views, explore details and measure distances directly in the web browser without installing software. Easy sharing via a link allows the team, designers, contractors and the public to access, analyze and collaborate on the same 3D model in real time.
  • Measurement of distances, heights and volumes

It provides intuitive tools for precise measurement directly in the 3D point cloud. The user can easily select any points or areas, measure lengths, height differences, slopes, areas or volumes, for example of embankments, excavations or structures. Ideal solution for architects, planners, surveyors, construction companies and infrastructure managers.
  • Comparing datasets over time

It allows you to load and switch between multiple point clouds, so you can compare the condition of an area or object at different points in time, for example before and after construction. The module provides tools to accurately measure and quantify differences between two 3D models, such as the volume of material removed or added, or changes in the geometry of structures.
  • Documentation of projects

It serves as an accurate digital record that is ideal for archiving, retrospective comparison of the condition before and after construction, reconstruction or other interventions. A reliable basis for long-term recording, control and transparent presentation of project progress.
PointView versatility
Local government and urban planning
A tool for creating 3D passporting of monuments, digital records of buildings, roads, furniture and public spaces. It allows planning reconstruction and maintenance of infrastructure based on accurate 3D data. Thanks to the visualization of the territory, municipalities can transparently present their plans to residents and investors.
Infrastructure management and maintenance
A modern way of monitoring and managing infrastructure such as bridges, roads, tunnels and dams. Regular 3D scanning enables early detection of deformations, damage or displacement in structures and serves as an objective digital record of the technical condition. It also facilitates the recording of traffic routes, green spaces and provides a basis for planning reconstruction or maintenance.
Protection of cultural heritage
Detailed documentation of cultural monuments, historical buildings and archaeological sites without any intervention into their structure. It allows capturing the real condition of objects down to the smallest detail, thus creating a digital basis for archiving, restoration, research or presentation to the public via a browser.
Architecture and Construction
Creating accurate 3D models of buildings, interiors and exteriors simplifies the preparation of project documentation, provides a quick comparison of the planned and actual state and allows verification or completion of the focus. By providing a realistic 3D context for building design, generating terrain profiles, and documenting pre- and post-construction conditions, architects, designers, and construction companies can obtain the basis for every phase of the project.
Forestry and ecology
It provides foresters and ecologists with detailed 3D data on the structure of forest stands, the volume of wood mass or the state of vegetation. It allows changes caused by logging, natural disasters or forest regeneration to be tracked and compared over time. Thanks to accurate data, it supports sustainable management of natural resources, planning of interventions and monitoring of the impact of environmental changes on the landscape.
Industry and manufacturing
It is used in industrial sites and manufacturing plants for precision dimensional measurement, production quality control and reverse engineering. It enables the creation of digital models of technological units, which serve as a basis for the optimization of production processes. The point cloud provides a record of the current status of equipment and infrastructure, simplifying the revision, modernisation and management of industrial plants.
  • Data processing speed
3D laser scanning in conjunction with PointView enables faster data acquisition and processing compared to traditional methods.
    1
  • Unrivalled accuracy
Our laser scanning collects data with millimetre precision, resulting in extremely detailed 3D models of buildings, structures and surroundings.
    2
  • Visualisation and simulation
With PointView, various operational situations can be simulated, allowing potential problems to be detected before implementation.
    3
  • Tracking changes over time
Comparing the condition of objects at different points in time, e.g.
before and after reconstruction, facilitates documentation and quality control.
